The 2021 Basic Life Support (BLS) course is the most recently updated version of the course. It provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients.
Consistent with the American Red Cross Focused Updates and Guidelines 2020, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals.
Through lectures, skills demonstration, practice, and case-based emergency response scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem-solving, and team dynamic skills needed to drive better patient outcomes.
Upon completing the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate anytime, anywhere, and access to the certificate and training history.
This is a blended-learning course consisting of online content. Please watch for emails and check your SPAM regularly as information for the online content and class will be sent to you.
Lastly, we work hard to keep our classes moving according to schedule, so please arrive at class on time. The class will be held in the meeting room.
